Miter saw review12/9
I just bought a Makita LS1016 miter saw as I wasn't super happy with my bosch 12 sliding saw. The makita seems to have some blade chatter, I have tried 3 different blades all with the same results.
are you over tightening the blade?
we also have the fesstool, sliding chop saw far out performs the others just a bit more $$$
I almost got the 1016 a couple years ago but read a lots of mix reviews and decided to get the festool.I am very happy with it,not 100% perfect but it does cut real good and keeps on doing it.
Is there room on the arbor for stabilizing washers?
We bought the LS1216 and really like it, Then I bought an LS1016 from Homeshleppo and took it back because It would not make consistent cuts.
Maybe there's an engineering issue with the LS1016 or I got a bad one, Either way the LS1216 is a good saw
Any slider will have more play and chatter then a non slider. I have tried them all and settled on the dewalt dw705 for all shop and install work. Use a top quantity blade and keep it razor sharp.
