Solid Surface Finishing8/27
Some manufacturers suggest using soap and water when sanding solid surface material. Has anyone seen a specific type of soap recommended or have experience with a certain brand?
OH. Is this going to be a slow forum. Might as well answer my own question. I have heard somewhere that Soft Soap is a good choice. Dont know. I guess I'll try some. Right?
I've used staron, himacs, living stone, corian, meganite, wilsonart, etc.. never have I had to use anything beyond sandpaper & polishing pads.
Just plain water.
However, I get a great shine using worn out scuff and buffs. The pad “bonnet” per se, has a great satin/semi gloss producing zest
+1 for just using water. We've tried most other solutions but the old H2o wins everytime
