Maintaining heat, and program settings8/20
Hello all wood enthusiasts !
I am helping a company here in Nicaragua ( very hot outdoor temperature) set up a NYLE L200 kiln, but it is an older version probably from 2003.
First the container:
1. There is no insulation right now in the shipping container...and holes are cut in the container for the wires to leave and there seems to be many just openings in general.
2. vents, what are the protocols on vent use, we do not have automatic vents, but when should I open them and when should I close them? is it just when things are too hot or not to temperature or does it have to do with moisture as well. Also some diagrams the vents are on top and some they are on the sides, how does this affect air flow and which is best?
now on to the controller:
The 16b love controller has a lot of functions and I can't find anything online to tell me which one is correct for the kiln.
1. First of all there are two PIDS, one for dry bulb one for welt bulb which makes sense in terms of getting the read on both temperatures but do both get set in same settings or different?
2.We have been running both on ON/OFF and just setting the temperature to what we want, but it seems to just be heating and not.. well controlling or maintaining certain settings,My guess after some research is it should be on PID setting and set to Heating or heating cooling dual loop. There are also functions like Ramp/Soak and so on. ( very unclear to me which one I need)
3. the drainage pipe seems dry/ never to have released water, which makes me think the compressor is not working and it is not "dehumidifying".
Any advice/ thoughts would be amazing !
I have attached the b series manual for the controller as well as a photo of our control set up.
