SCMI S63 planer10/15
I just purchased a used SCMI S63 planer with no manual, user's guide or electrical schematic. Not finding one so far on the interenet. I called SCMI N. America down in Georgia and the "youngster" I spoke with said "Boy, that's really old, I doubt we would have any info going way back to the 80's". My answer was, "I own machines I bought new way before that!" He was going to call the plant in Italy but won't hear back until the beginning of the week. It is gold in color, with the built in knife grinder, power table lift and 4 speed feed. I think I may have a bad electrical contactor.
Hi john, my gringo did similar when trying to start first time.
I always call my electrician in for this kind of problem. Takes him less than 10 minutes.
As for parts, this was posted a while ago:
for manual go to https://www.partspronto.com. Manuals/ Standard/ S63
hope this helps
Thanks for the responses. I did get the planer up and running. I also went to the partspronto site but they don't have the manual for that year machine, just the parts list. The parts I was looking for they also don't have and looks like are unavailable. Mainly parts for the knife grinder. I will try and make it work with some customizing.
