best way to move powermat 700 into place from the crate4/8
Any of you guys uncrated a powermat 7000? I have the front off, but can't really see any lifting points. It has a tag recommending that lifting be done from the top, but that moves the center of gravity too high for our lift. I really don't want to screw up the bosses new toy so any help is appreciated.
Hire a rigger !
I agree on the rigger. I think that is 9-11,000 pounds.
The material that came with it usually gives the pickup points and the center of gravity.
there are colored ribbons through the castings showing where the straps should be routed for lifting. Key word- straps. At a bare minimum, rent a lift capable of lifting it properly. Even a rigger as others have suggested is cheaper than a broken casting, positioning motor etc after you have made a cock of it trying to do it on the cheap....
Ian report back on what you ended up doing please.
Two overhead boom trucks and an I beam.
We ended up cabling overhead to the forks on our large toyota lift and hoisting it, Didn't think the old girl could handle it, but no problem. Next job is the promaster 7225XL
