Delta table saw parts

Hello guys

We have a Delta 36-789 (RT40) 14" table saw. Its only 8 years old and the gear set that tips the blade for angle cuts is wore out.
The part # for the Kit to repair is 1330478 is discontinued. I am going to look into having these parts made but wanted to check and see if by some chance someone has this repair kit. I have checked E-bay, Delta and other online sources and nobody has anything.

If I had that problem I would call Marsh Powertools in Livonia MI. They might not have a solution but they will know if there is a solution or not.

Thanks for getting back with me!
I called and they reminded this saw was made by Invicta in Brazil. So I got my hopes up and did some checking but there now out of business. So I am going to try and build the teeth back up with some aluminum bronze and dress them off by hand. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again

I did find a company that would repair the gear. I was going to fill the void in between the teeth with aluminum bronze and then they would re-cut the gear. They quoted $600-1200 not knowing if they had a fixture to hold it. I thought this was a fair price as I had one quote online for $8000 (that was making a brand new one) We did not fix our saw I was told that was to much money. So its back together and cuts 90 degrees like a champ! One thing that might have help prevent this is cleaning the gears off and maybe rub some paste wax on them.

Can you shim out that gear to let the pinion ride on an unworn spot? Maybe even mill off 3/8" off the back and get to a new wear spot.

Im not sure if you could do that or not. If you look there looks to be a slight angle on the teeth from side to side. Not sure if that would effect moving the gear off center of the worm gear. I should have asked the guy at the shop that was going to repair the gear.
