kuper FW1150 stitching veneer trouble8/16
We bought a recond ZIG ZAG stitching splicing veneer kuper FW1150.
When was the last time you cleaned the heater tube? If not cleaned regularly, you will get some adhesive build-up inside the tube, which will interfere with heat transfer to the string. The start of the splice is just fine, because the string is idle in the heater tube and has plenty of time to react to the heat, but by the end of the splice, the string was newly pulled into the heater tube and if not clean, may not get enough heat to melt completely.
Thank you for your answer.
any other advice?
The Kuper string should break fairly easily, especially when heated to operating temperature. I have had "tough" string occasionally in the past, but not to the point I had a hard time breaking it, even before heating. So it could be the string itself. The only other thing I can think of is to slow down the feed speed, but that's really more related to temperature again.
Is it hot air heated or direct heated tube ?
our machine is a direct heated tube. the machine seller advised us to use the kupper thread 1220.
