Nice Job! Excellent choice of wood! Where did you get the quartered oak for that? The flakes are unreal!

Thanks Matt, I live in upstate New York where hardwoods are plentiful and affordable.myself own 10 acres by lake Ontario and I have in the property over 40 trees redy to harvest, Mostly whithe oaks.
The wood used for this bed however I got from a suplier in Syracuse at around $4,40bf. There are other suppiers that have smallmills and I can get #1 comon for $2.50bf (still nice wood but some konts).
I used 4/4 for the posts, gluing 4 miter pieces and center core, that way the flakes are shown in all 4 sides. The curved rails I used 8/4 and the rest 6/4 and 4/4. ( Very heavy bed)
