Now thats Nice stuff! How thick and how have you accounted for expansion? Thats some awsome curly stock.

The wood wear layer is .265" lamiated to 12mm Baltic Birch plywood except for the outer bands which we do solid. We like our material to be closer to 9%MC so we will see shrinkage but rarely expansion. The bevels on the pieces do a great job of hiding the small gaps that develop in the winter months. We will over dry material if we are shipping to the Southwest or higher elevations where it is dry all year. All laminations are done with a thick polyurethane glue that is elastomeric and allows for movement without delamination. Thanks

Very nice. I like the white oak and walnut the best. Very nice colors and grain patterns. Do you use tung oil on all of it and how does that hold up? Great job!

We use polymerized tung oil dispersed in citrus solvent. It is extremely easy to repair with the ability to only touch up the areas that are walked on. Most of our customers have had a polyurethaned floor at one time or another and say the tung oil is easier to care for and live on. I does require some maintenance every few years.

Hi Could you tell me where you get your tung oil from and do you do the mixing and preparing yourself ? how do you apply it, in how many layers?
