Very nice ! Great lines/design. What did you finsish it with ? It appears you left the cherry natural and just put on lacquer or satin poly ?

The Cherry is natural and the finish is satin Magnalac pre cat. lacquer.

Holding my hand up to cover the feet and bottom shelf, it almost looks as if the entire base would look better continuing to go OUTward, as if a pedestal base with trim that tapered outward from the bottom would anchor it to the floor.

I like the piece alot. I think that the bookmatched fronts would look better if all of the fronts were continuous top to bottom, if that makes any sense. The top drawer is what detracts the most. Would require a much larger piece of wood to start with, but worth it I feel. Nice attention to detail in that the knobs get progressively larger top to bottom. Overall a very nice piece.
