pantry storage

this pantry unit replaced a small (useless) 36"x24" closet that was so overloaded and overcrowded with kitchen items that the client could not reach anything on the back of the shelf. she wanted easy access to everything so i recommended the pullouts. since she does a lot of cooking i also suggested the spice rack to organize her collection. she loves it.
the boxes are made of pre fin maple with hard maple drawer fronts sitting on full ex BB slides.

Thats a very nice pantry. I'm building one now but hadn't thought of a .25" dado for the shelfs to not fall out. Great idea! Simple.

That is a great idea using the dado to retain the shelves. Also, it is a nice looking job. I think creative use of space like this is important for several reasons including: 1) It help individuals enjoy their home and reduces the stress of not being able to find things 2) In these times of energy conservation people should learn to use space more wisely and they will find that a small home can be more livable than a large home.
