Nice piece. I like the spiral base. I have done that before. Only one thing that jumps out. That is to try and match your wood pieces better on the top so they blend more so you can't see the joints.
Very nice table. The only thing as Gustav pointed out is that I would have match the grain on the top or used a bookmatch top. Did you make the spiral colum with the router crafter?
No I didnt use a router on the spiral I just carve it by hand after carefull layout.
