A Formal Dining Room in Walnut

This project looked so good at the end I thought it was worth a post...
This was to be a formal dining room. We went with walnut stained a little darker (almost an 'ebonized' look). Even the vent panel was built of walnut.
I'm always looking out for a wainscot panel pattern a step better than simple rectangles. I like this pattern of a horizontal panel at the top with two verticals below.

Dave is right, the work is beautiful, but the thing i notice most is the finish. Not enough o's in smoooooooth to describe it.

Was this built and then finished on site or was everything pre-finished and then installed?

What type of finish and equipment?

Finished on site.
Sprayed lacquer.

Very nice work, just one thing, was always thought that grain direction on paneling should always be upward not left to right as on this project was the reason for this the smaller panels ?

Panel's grain is most often done vertically, but ALWAYS? That's plain silly. I placed the grain horizontally because when you look at the whole room, the wainscot is a horizontal band running all the way around the 4 walls. Thought it would look better that way. As I look at the picture again, either way would have been handsome.

Beautiful craftsmanship, could you please tell me what color paint you used on the walls. It coordinates so well.

it is a glazed application with more than one coat & I've no idea of the two colors chosen / sorry
