at the risk of starting a riot i, with great reservation ask,what do you think a peice like this is worth the over all dim.are appr. 11x14x5 the engraving cost me $25 since i am very new in the buisness i dont own a laser i guess i am only semi pro but the quality is good .the finnish is 4 coats of hand rubbed tung oil followed by 3 coats of hand buffed wax.As i said i am pretty new to the buisness and just want to make sure that i am charging what is proper.

I hope your not offended by this but I would say around 250. for that box, handmade for the customer just the way he wanted it. I would go a bit higher depending on the type of inlay you are talking about. I wouldn't go overboard on the pricing though, we would like to, only because it is an item that one doesn't have to have but an item that if the price is right , one might buy because it is nice and the price is right. You could put it on consignment in a high-end retail store and you could get more but you would not sell a lot of them. The design is a good one and you did a great job on it so you could probably do a few a week right, with help. So now you have to move a few a week and make it worth your while. I personaly would look at trying to make a living just off of that one item and price it, in it's simpler pattern, to fly off the shelves then anything else you make is bonus.
I just lke to type and talk so excuse me for going on and on. I wish I still had the money and the health to do what you guys are doing. I envy you all and the work you are still able to do. Don't ever take it for granted.
