Wow! Really nice, and honestly I rarely say that about the projects I see on this site. I'm wondering what the figured maple runners on the bottom actually do? Again very nice work and as said above the use of ebony highlights on the base really complement the spalted maple perfectly.

I am jealous of people who have the skill and opportunity to make something like this. Awesome

Geoff, those pieces help keep the top flat and they are also serve as the hinges for rotating the top up. Thanks!
