we don't do a lot of jobs with inset doors and it's always a pain when we do a job like that. i can tell the work that went into them.
looks great, simple design that really shows off your craftmanship.
what kind of finish?
Posted By:Fort
Nice job, maybe have mede the doors over the TV 4 not 3.

I use Old Masters stain from Iowa Paint then put one coat of Sherwood Cab Acrylic sealer and two coats of Cab Acrylic Medium rub lacquer. Gives a great finish. Thankyou for the compliment but to tell you the truth this is only the third set of commercial cabinets I have ever made. Each set is getting better though LOL

I thought along time about making 4 doors over the set. But I didnt want to make everything balance....dont know why for sure in this case but wanted the top to look different than the bottom.

is my computer screen wavy or is the base cabinet (next to the door) crooked? The upper loks wacked out too..must be the camera angle...???
I agree it should have been 4 over the TV or 3 under. I'd have done 4.

Good job though (especially if its your 3rd time.

I got a new camera that lets you take three pictures and then it puts them together to make one. It can make things appear crooked by I assure you they are straight and square. You are the second that thinks the upper and lowers should be equal. Guess I should listen. Thanks for the comments.

sorry john...need more symetry...4 wouldda been more symetrical..but still a great job none the less
Posted By:John Shaw
I would say the jury is in LOL. Next time will be symetrical!!!!

Sometimes the jury gets it wrong. symetry be damned I think you created a nice look and once the flat screen TV and components go in I think it'll look great.

Thanks for the compliment. I work with an old trim carpenter that is very opininated but always says at the end....woodwork is like art. Some people like one piece while another likes a different piece. Make sure and make it the way you feel good about it.
