Feather Falls Lumber
Listing #128   Listed on: 04/24

We Mill lumber to your specifications. Many types of wood. fences, Decks, Siding, Beams, Flooring, Wainscoting, Knotty pine, Furniture wood material. Etc... You get the idea. We mill ours or yours, give us a call @ 530-589-1653 or 530-589-3777 or 707-428-5364.
Where did we come from?
At Feather falls there used to be a large mill where they used steam engines, Mules, and shear man power. The Lumber company used to skid the town from camp to camp. The mill has been gone for along time and the company dismantled the town in the 80s 90s.We feel a kind of rekindling for all past sawyers. Some of the logs we mill are logs from the past found in the woods and the heart wood is amazing.
We also enjoy milling different types of trees not milled by others. When talking to old sawyers from mills down in town say "they never tried that wood". Just to see what awaits inside the tree.
Emmett is also very good with his chain saws. Falling the most precarious trees to carving amazing creations (sculptures).
We have been in the woods most of our lives. We have done everything from, Logging chip logs, Hard woods, Soft woods and Firewood. We have even harvested stumps for Veneer. We have worked with Emmetts father and mother (the two hardest working people on earth)Through many of these ventures.
Emmett and I have been friends since junior high school, when we met in a field for the first time. I was riding my horse and he an old dirt bike. He was 11 and I was 12. He said "my dad is going to buy me a horse" two weeks later here he comes boarding TWO horses at the same ranch. I might add an "all girl ranch”. Before us. Well that how it started we have been friends ever since and have a love for the woods. Now we are 46 and 45 years old and really enjoy working the mill and seeing the eyes of people when they see what we have created. So many people have been made to believe that so many things must be created by a big box store to exist.
