I started my business in 1978. My father and both grandfathers had a shop in the basement so I grew up learning woodwork and building projects out of scrap. I saw High school shop class as access to bigger machines. As a teen working at the local hardware store broadened my knowledge rapidly. I started doing jobs for the store's clients after work . My growing collection of tools led to my first small shop in the early 80's. I moved into our current location in 1989. I run a 2 man shop. My associate Joe is still learning. He has made several impressive projects. I let him make mistakes sometimes because being able to fix your mistakes is one of the signs of a true craftsman. We use hardwood and hardwood ply , no particle board or MDF. Quality materials and craftsmanship will last. |
