The company has been locally owned and operated since its inception. Hands On operates from its custom built state-of-the-art 24,000 square foot facility; which includes a showroom and design center. Trade associations memberships include: NARI, BBB, and Lake Norman Home builders. Hands On is one of the few cabinet manufactures in the Carolinas that is certified by AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) to manufacture premium-grade casework for both the commercial and residential market. Hands-On Woodworking offers a wide variety of stains, paints and laminate finishes. Their creative designers use the many available colors of melamine (laminate) and a spectrum of paints and stains to bring together a final product that answers the needs of a customer. If a customer is looking for a truly uniform look, then melamine might be the best choice with its solid colors and simulated wood grains colors. If the natural beauty of wood is preferred, a stock or custom stain can be applied. By having an in house finishing department, Hands-On can match virtually any finish the customer wants to match or complement. |
