Custom Sliding Tablesaw

Blaine Vonhagen's Custom Sliding Tablesaw is the second example regarding the launch of WOODWEB's new Shop Built Equipment Forum. Listings similar to Blaine's are what we would like to see our participants post.

Below is the first photo of Blaine's Sliding Table Saw. He used a Protool CSP 85 saw for the motor. He also used phenolic resin top, aluminum and linear bearings, and a Biesmyre fence.

Very Cool! Looks like it's solidly built, but not too heavy. Quite stable with the leg setup. Did you fabricate it with aluminum or a lightweight material? Also you did the sliding taanle part as well. . .Didn't Ya? Very nice Blain! Kudos

Nuts...just nuts. I figure if you can build this...you have too much time on your hands and chose the wrong career assuming you are a woodworker (should have been an engineer or the like). Impressive to say the least.

Nice job. I noticed the Beisemeyer fence has a cursor on both sides of the fence, Did you do this yourself or does the fence come with them already equipped?
