Description
Commercial Interiors is a motivated and growing commercial millwork company looking to add a production manager to our team. Our markets are medical, hospitality and other public spaces where laminated millwork is utilized. Minimum 3 years experience in commercial millwork is a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities:
Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
Be a lean leader to your team and work to drive decision making down in the production environment.
Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
Oversee shipping department to ensure accuracy of shipments and communicate the need for trucks based on order details with shipping clerk.
Coordinate and prioritize daily shipping activities
Ensure accurate and timely shipment of products
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Training in lean manufacturing is not required but is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
