We use two other Danckaert molders in our operation. Before we had an opportunity to set this one up, we needed the floor space for our CNC equipment. It needs new 220/440 3 phase cutter head motors for correct operation.
The big advantage, unique to Danckaert, is it’s European head configuration coupled with an American style Push Feed Works. It utilizes the best of both worlds.
The European Head Configuration flattens and straightens rough lumber, therefore, there is no need to pre-surface the material, as required with an American Head Configuration.
The push feed works allows the side heads to climb cut safely, by reversing the head rotation and cutting direction. Climb cutting will produces a chip free product without the expense of matched knives.
This molder is ideal for “One of a Kind” Runs with its’ European head configuration and the American style Push Feed Works.
This molder, with its’ six heads, outboard bearings and cast iron construction, is strong enough to run production, at 200 ft. per min, all day long.
