Job Description:
· Planning: Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimating, and Clients to understand project requirements, specifications, and design intent.
· Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials for millwork projects, considering factors such as durability, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetic appeal. Produce and manage samples and make sure they are returned on time to maintain schedule completion.
· Design Development: Develop detailed millwork shop drawings(either inhouse or subout to a drafter), considering both aesthetic and functional. Make sure they are returned on time to maintain schedule completion.
· Pre-Production Collaboration: Collaborate with Project Managers to address design changes and any technical issues that may arise during the design phase. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure samples and submittals are sent to GC on time to ensure project completion.
· Material: Preform an accurate take off for all materials for entire jobs.
· Orders: Once samples and submittals are returned approved place all material orders and ensure product availability and lead times will meet the project schedule.
· Collaboration: Project manager will complete field measurements and hand over the job for production. Work with project managers to address field changes and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the Production phase.
· Engineering: Create cutlist files to release shop into production.
· Production: Work with production teams to provide technical guidance during fabrication, assembly, and installation.
· Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the millwork process. Identify and address any issues or deviations
· Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of millwork projects, including design plans, material specifications, As Built drawings, and samples.
· Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in millwork to continuously improve processes and stay competitive in the market.
