Entertainment center

This is my latest project it is an entertainment center approx 7’ 4” wide x 6' 6” tall. The center cabinet is approx 42 1/8” wide and 24” deep to hold a 42” LCD HDTV. This unit was made in six sections. I made all the raised panels for the doors and outside panels on the bottom side cabinets and the face frame from cherry. The case sides facing the center cabinet was made from cherry ¾” Plywood the back of all of the cabinets was made form ¼” cherry plywood. I made all moldings except Crown at top. The bottom center cabinet has unique pullout equipment shelves that can adjusted and rotate 360° so that you can get to the back of the electrical equipment. I used two hockey puck lights with remote (X-10) dimmer in each of the end cabinets for down lighting. There are also two120 volts outlets with remote (X-10) dimmer in the side top cabinets so that houses with light can be used. I used M. L. Campbell WoodSong II Rich Cherry wipe stain, then one coat of M. L. Campbell Quick Build Lacquer sanding sealer then two coats of M. L. Campbell Quick Build lacquer Satin.

Nice job. Can you tell me how to find those hinges you used on the bott middle doors? They seem ideal for an invisble hinge that can swing 270 degrees.Cheers

WOW!! That pull out cabinet shelf is awsome. I can't tell you how many times I struggle with connecting wires behind audio equipment.
