Trestle Table

Simple trestle table. The trestles are 8/4 sapele with half lapped joints. The insides look different than the outsides. Doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

I like the design and the workmanship looks excellent.
It looks like all solid wood so here's the question everyone will ask: is the breadboard end in some sort of floating connection or is it glued all the way across?

Love the joints at the bottom of the base.

It looks like the back feet(right side) are tenoned into the post, while the front(left side) post is tenoned into the foot.

I think tenoning the post into the foot is the way to go.

probably a bridle joint would explain the different left foot/right foot look

never understood the breadboard end...end grain is the only honesty left in woodworking.

Very nice style and finish. Could you give us the overall dimensions?
