Another of my signature designs, part of my "River Series(tm)" works. This dining table is lit with LEDs (most others use fluorescent or natural/ambient light) with enough battery life for 1-2 days operation. Easily recharged with on-board charger, just plug into any house outlet. In all "River Series(tm)" projects I aim for a sense of movement, of flow that I create with such media as the inlaid dyed resin shown here. This glass-topped table adds the allure of room reflections and friends/family that dine here. The blue is like deep water or evening sky. Bubbles are purposely incorporated into the resin to enhance the water-like qualities. The shimmering mahogany further adds to the soft shifting highlights, like flowing smooth rivers.

Beautiful piece. Nice design and concept.
The only thing I dont like is that the wires show in the first pic.

Vern -- No, not wires. Those wavy lines are due to the texture I make underneath the blue resin -- makes it more "gem-like." You're seeing shadows in the waves of the resin. Thanks for your compliment.

I think it looks really cool! But to me the LEDS seem too contemporary for the other furniture in the room and their styling?

I agree too contemporary for the room and decor, almost gives it a 'novelty' appearance, like a lava lamp in a library. Nice workmanship though, unique.
