Cutting board I made up for a kitchen project...well MY kitchen. I hope it doesn't blow up on me. I used maple and zebra wood for the field with the end grain showing. The boarder is bloodwood, wenge, and maple flatsawn.

When I did this I glued it up in small rows, three rows at a time so I could control the pieces better. I also used a waterproof glue - gorilla white glue. It had no tack and slipped. I would have the pieces clamped and all was well, only to check back in an hour to find my hunks of wood slipped. So use waterproof, but not that brand. Glue it in small manageable pieces. Then find a timesaver to sand it smooth. Leave extra stock so you can sand it to the final thickness you desire.
