Here is my first attempt at the iconic design of Sam Maloof. New Brunswick sourced figured maple finished in tung oil and buffed with carnauba. Many thanks to Charles Brock for his excellent dvd tutorial.

Nice work Ken. My old employer used to do some finishing for Ed Wohl who studied with Sam. I've always liked the style and it looks like you've done it well. How many hours do you have in it ?

Hi Alex. Thank you for the response and kind words! My best guess would be 160 hours spread over 3-4 months. Lot's of hand work in this one to get a 'feel' for the process. Future builds will be done more efficiently.

All the best, Ken.
