Nice work. It is always interesting to see how others handle certain details, like the top of the newels. Are the walnut bands inset, and mitered at the corners?

I'm curious about the top and bottoms of the balusters. I guess you hand to work along with the metal guys, unless you did that part yourself.

I'm just guessing that you did your own photography, and would suggest that when shooting some of the natural light shots like the tub, and last stair, that you try HDR setting on your camera or phone. It can do wonders for those high contrast under lighted shots.

Thank You Keith Newton for the compliments. It is walnut inset into the top of the newels. The baluster ends were fitted with rectangle tubing that the metal man cut on angle. After blueing the pieces with gun blueing I fit the ends of the balusters into the tubing, secured the balusters at the top and bottom with pin nails and slid the tubing to cover. I had a good digital camera at that time and sometimes I'd get it right.
