I don't know about the podium, but I sure like the 2 boards you have it sitting on . Just kidding, but what kind of wood are those 2 boards?

The boards are local lumber here in Nigeria, they are called Oro , pronounced ore (as in iron) raw, very much like mahogany in colour, much easier to sand and polish, takes nailing and machining better, very little sap but not much grains like mahogany.
Very good interior furniture lumber. moderate price. Need some, just kidding.
