Barn Door Murphy bed with desk

I just finished my last project for the year. It is a Murphy bed desk with a barn door look to it.

I added a desk to the front which stays level as it turns into a bed. No need to totally clear off the desk when needing the bed. Drawers were also added to the desk.

The side cabinets are 24" wide and I flushed them with the light bar to give them some extra depth for the printer pullout. I have a full door on the top section of the right side built split the left door. The lower section has a drink tray and a pair of locking file cabinets.

I have two types of mechanisms that I use, this is the Spring Murphy Bed mechanism version. I like this mechanism, because the frame is steel and I don't have to build that part of the project. The spring system is also the only one that can be use with that Stay Level desk design. The other just doesn't have enough room under the bed.
