Far West Forest Products

Listing #448   Listed on: 09/24/2012

Far West Forest Products is a custom mill that offers various species that are local to the California area including; Redwood, (both Coastal and Giant Sequoia), various California hardwoods, including: Claro Walnut, English Walnut, California Black Oak, White Oak, and more. Over 90% of the lumber, live edge slabs, burl, and turning blocks that we sell come from Urban, Reclaimed, or Salvaged logs. These are sold through our Salinas California Lumber store. Far West has recently added a Wood-Mizer WM1000 to our lineup where we can saw a 67" wide slab using thin kerf technology. Far West is dedicated to helping other small sawmill owner operators to achieve success as well, and has offered several workshops and networking events in California that include marketing, sawing technique and sawmill maintenance. Far
West is also very active in the urban forestry movement in CA, and is always happy to demonstrate our equipment to you. We strongly believe in working cooperatively with other small sawmill owner operators to promote California's hardwoods, and other species. We believe that working together we can achieve a larger market presence.
