Mobile Nyle dehumidification kiln

Listing #121   Listed on: 04/04/2014

While everyone else has been using the rear load kiln carts, we've decided to go outside the box and engineer our own side loading (shipping container) kiln 8' x 8' x 24'. The wall that was removed for the new side entry door has been reinforced with tube steel, which has been welded into place.

This unit has been engineered to dry a wide array of species and sizes of live edge slabs and wood. The extra large side load entry door allows us to swiftly transfer loads with a forklift. The unit is equipped with Lingeomat WiFi sensors that enable us to monitor moisture content & humidity to ensure a properly dried product. The kiln is also instrumental for helping eradicate any pesky critters lurking in the wood products.

The kiln is in its final stages of production. All the electrical wiring, fan banks, dehumidifier, insulation, and subfloor have been installed. The loading doors will be the final step and then this baby will be up and running. The removable side chamber houses the computer controls and transponder, which allows us to remotely monitor the atmospheric conditions of the kiln chamber, while also keeping a steady eye on the core moisture content of the wood.

We've decided to permanently fix the kiln to a trailer, giving us the mobility to treat wood products from any location.
