Downdraft Table/Exhaust Vent

Listing #64   Listed on: 11/17/2011

This is a downdraft table I built for sanding. It uses two stages of disposable furnace filters and is powered by a salvaged furnace blower.

I can remove the perforated top panels and stand the table vertically and after connecting the blower to an outside vent via an 18" flex duct it becomes my spray exhaust fan. I have some extension panels that snap to the sides and top. I use waterborne finishes so I don't worry about this not being explosion proof.

I also aim the exhaust port at a work station in the summer and it becomes a portable cooler.
