Sorting Cart @ doweling station

Listing #92   Listed on: 07/19/2013

I was asked if I'd post a photo of our cart.... here it is. You can see the bore & insert machine behind and the corner of the assembly table with its holes for accessing the small parts in the drawer below in front. All the parts for one cabinet go in a slot. Drawer parts may go in the horizontal shelves. We try to keep batch sizes small that's why this cart has only 5 slots. If you can't talk 'em into a system, force it! You can just see the roller conveyor transfer car to the right. It has access to 390' of conveyor in that area, none longer than 30' so sorting and moving the pile you want is easy.

OK so it did take the photo??? Site must be confused. Maybe it had something else in mind when I said "compound curves?" This has a CNC cut framework overlaid with two layers of bending stock + Bondo. (& lots of sanding.)

Thanks for sharing.

I'm intrigued by your work. Looks like a good system and would like to know more about your material handling.
