Aluminum paint for kilns Options for aluminum paint for use on solar lumber kilns. March 9, 2000

Q.
I am in the process of building a solar kiln. The plans I have call for painting the inner walls with an aluminum-based paint. I am having trouble finding a supplier for this product.

You could use common aluminum roof coating, sold at any home supply store.

You can mix your own, using spar varnish and aluminum powder or paste. Or use a high-grade (expensive) aluminum paint.
