Pricing for Built-In Shelf and Media Center Units
Cabinetmakers consider how materials, finishes, and installation may affect the value of a representative built-in unit. April 11, 2008
Question
I've got an issue with pricing this unit. It is about 14' across with 24" side units. It has pocket door slides for four doors and will be built from poplar lumber and birch plywood with a white cab acrylic finish. This is the drawing I did for the lady and she loves it. What's it worth in the high class district of Indianapolis?

From contributor R:
I would charge approximately 10K CDN made from super-refined MDF finished with BeckerAcroma Matador Lacquer finish. Using wood I would charge more than 10K.
