Timetable for final processing of walnut
Stock in cants form should be processed in a timely manner. March 26, 2000
Q.
We have about 10,000 BF of walnut cut into cants, with the ends sealed. How long can we leave it in cant form before we have problems?
A.
When the temperature goes over 50 degrees F, you increase the risk of problems -- especially if stored where bugs might get into the wood.
