WoodWOP Wine Rack

08/05/2014

From original questioner:

I ran into an issue while programming this wine rack. I started every contour line in the corner of the shape and then realized that when I assign a routing path to cut on the inside of the line it cuts outside of the line a bit as well because it is starting in the corner. I am fairly new to cnc world, all help is much appreciated! Thank you.

It looks like your contours run past each other, it also looks like you might be using centerline instead of left or inside.

You need to lead in and out from within the rectangle (hole).

I am using left, not center line. And they meet at the same point it just shows that they cross. I think it is to show you that it closes the shape. I will try leading from within the rectangle. Thanks A.

David,

In WoodWop, what is the appoach and withdrawal you are using?

I would make sure you select Vertical for both. This will help the cutter to come straight down and the straight up in the corner.

If you want it to ramp in and out. You will need to move your start point from the corner to the middle of one of the line segment. Then you can select your Tangential Approach and Withdrawal. I assume this is currently selected.

You might try the lateral approach for the corner. This may work. But I know the Vertical would work for sure.
