Contour edgbanding

I have a SNX semi-automatic contour edgebander. I have been asked by a customer to use Dorus 205 glue. This glue is made for linear edgebanders and has a rubber base to it.
The softening point is 120 degrees celcius and the application temperature is 200-220 degrees celcius, feed rate is 45 ft/min.
Somehow my customer is using this glue at 129 degrees celcius in the glue pot and 130 degrees celcius on the application roller with a feed rate of 70 ft/min.
I know there is a correlation between ambient temperature, glue pot temperature, and application roller temperature to the feed of the machine. Yet none of the glue requirements are being met and the parts are still passing aged heat and humidity tests.
Does anyone have any more experience in this field or any advise on how to set up the machine? My baseline for setting this machine up was way off, because i was trying to use the specifications of the glue. Is this not the right spot to start?

I use Dorus 205 and stick with the manufacturers recommendation. (linear edge banding) You might get away with changing the specifications, might not. If I had a customer telling me to do otherwise I suggest they buy their own machine. It would be okay to experiment depending on who is paying for the time and who is responsible for the outcome. Most likely you can't out-think the engineer/chemist who designed the glue.
