how to program the cad option on a biesse rover 13s11/22
I was wodering if anyone could give me some guidanceand and help on using the cad program on myBiesse Rover 13s. I'm having trouble understanding the steps to create profiles connecting profiles, and editing them. The manual is translated from Italian and the steps kind of get lost in the translation. Any help would be appreciated.
I ran one of these for a number of years. It's been awhile since I worked on it but I maybe able to help. First is it a NC400 controller?
In the end I stopped using the CAD editor on the controller as I found it quite awkward to use. Instead I imported DXF files.
The main thing as I remember was that you had to draw out all the geometry and then trace around the parts you intend to use. So you have to draw a full circle even if you only want to use a small portion of it.
The only advantage (I can recall) of using the CAD editor is that you can define things parametrically so that as you change things like the part size the shape adjusts to suit. If you import DXF's this will not happen.
Perhaps you can post a picture the shape you are trying to make?
Good luck and please ask if I can help further.
Is your screen italian or english ?
it is very early primitive CAD. very simple.
