I'm thinking of getting new computers with Windows 10 pre installed. What Would Be the best computer specification needed to run cabinet vision solid software?
Entry level HP Workstation with Nvidia graphics. 16GB memory or better. Try Z240 series. Should be able to get one for about $1600. You can spend far less, but it would be home consumer level of hardware. We just picked up our fourth machine, but we got Win7 Pro downgrade. Can move to Win10 if forced to without cost.
I have CV and alphacam . I run a gaming PC for the graphics card. Helps speed up renderings and simulations , without crashes. It also has a 27'' screen which is amazing
MSI is the brand.
Check out newegg.com they have great pricing on PC's
700-1000 watt power supply and a 2-4 gig video card
I run dual 29" monitors (27 will work fine) you will not regret that !
I bought a Dell Precision M6300 Laptop which is a professional Cad/Cam ISV Certified unit, expensive but better than any consumer laptop out there
Cabinet vision has on there website specifying basic computer requirements. I have a found to have a custom made computer to give me more bang for my buck. The parts and components are better and they will install your windows operating system. I run just cabinetvison on this computer.
