Dust Collector Help Needed

Hi,
I have an older Torit Donaldson "Mic" model dust collector. It has eight 55 gallon drums underneath it to collect dust and wood chips. The collector does a great job and has plenty of suction and I recently put a new blower motor on it. The problem that I'm having is the capacity is not enough. I have the collector hooked up to my moulder, planer, widebelt sander, and gang ripsaw. I am constantly having to empty the drums under the collector. I'm wondering if there is a way to add a rotary air lock under the collector and either add an elevator type conveyor belt that would dump the shavings onto a pile outside or have it set up to blow the shavings into or onto a trailer. The current height from the concrete pad to the bottom of the hopper is 42". If this is not enough height for the rotary air lock and other parts, would it be possible to add steel leg extensions to the collector and raise it up higher? If this is possible, I'm trying to weigh the cost of doing this versus buying a used collector that is already set up like I need. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I remember someone made or makes an inline auger to sit underneath this type of collector. It was a sealed type which I'm sure has rubber fins or a long tube type gasket to keep from losing vacuum. It then fed into either a recirculating blower or another auger to go outside into a container of some sort. Not sure of the height on this type. Another option is to add a cyclone with a bottom airlock ahead of this unit then you wouldn't have to mess with this unit at all.

Thank you, Dustin. Is there anyway that you could find out the name of the place that makes that attachment that you are talking about? Thanks

I went and did some searches online and could only find anything mentioned at all was on Lobo tools website. A call to one of the manufacturers might be in order. They might already have either the answer or know who does.

Thank you, Dustin. I really appreciate you taking the time to try and find that information for me. I will call some manufacturers and see what I can come up with. Thanks again.

A couple of dump hoppers to use with your forklift would be the cheapest fix. I guess I'd look to Donaldson for something automatic.

Raise the collector enough to add a small, tapered accumulator bin with a 24" x 24" door on the bottom. Then you can back up a truck when the accumulator is full, open the door and let it flow.
You can also hook it up to a RAL and let it fall into a dumpster, as in the photo.
