doing millwork with twinbelt wide belt sander what grits do run,
we are running 60 & 100 but ran 80 & 120 in the past,
no veener's just solid hardwoods mostly
I use 80 and 120 also but on my General 24" I take very light cuts and still tear the paper where it fastens on that spring loaded thingamagig. I also sprayed the roller with spray contact which made it a little better but I go through paper way before its time. Any suggestions?
Wide belts have a huge advantage over drum sanders. Change grits in less than a minute. Decent ones have enough power to remove the recomended amount on a pass.
We use 120x - 180x only
