Problem with kreg Forman pocket hole machine

My kreg Forman pocket hole machine, which is fully pneumatic, is bogging down and completely stopping. I've had this machine for about 11 years and put a new motor on it about 2 years ago. it started cutting slow on the last kitchen like the bit was getting dull so I put a new one in it and now it seems quieter but even slower. I've taken the screen out of the back of the motor and cleaned it which I do routinely. I put 3 drops of oil in the machine every kitchen routinely. 120psi on the machine always. I'm at a loss on why it has lost power all of the sudden. It acts like there is not enough pressure. I've checked to make sure there was not a kink in the hose. The only thing I can see is that it does appear that there is some slack in the rails that the motor slides up and down on and maybe some in the sleeve that the bit goes through. Possibly could be enough to be binding a little, but there are no metal shavings or anything like that. If I or you guys can't find a solution to this I'll probably upgrade to the stronger electric version. After 11 years of service I'm not going to complain. Thanks

Look at the activation switch, especially if it is a foot switch. Look for debris build up that is preventing the switch from working properly.

I hadn't thought about that Pat. I did have trouble with that once before but I can't remember what the problem was. Would the activation switch make the motor bog down? It's the lever type, not the foot pedal.

I'd suspect the air regulator. Over time they can get a build up in the passages which limits the volume of air. You'd have the pressure just not the volume.

The same thing happens with the foot pedals in my experience.

Oil the guides where the bit is sliding made big difference for me

I know that if you use anything less than 3/8" fittings and they should be high flow fittings you will not get the torque you need.
