Oh yeah they are a pain in the butt. super labor intensive.
If the doors are edged. You can run the slot right through and then edge over it. If it's a painted door then you have to rout the slot and stop short of the edge.
...and yes you have to notch the tongue short on the extrusion.
Depends what material the door is but
I think you'll be ok with the powdercoating just cut the extrusion .5mm shorter than the door.
Thanks chipboard. Calibrated sheets too. Sounds like something will go wrong with a whole house full of these doors and fronts. Thanks for your input. Good call on the colored rails!
