Prefinished birch ply

What brand of prefinished birch ply are you using these days?
I bought some multi laminated core, I am not sure of the manufacture/brand, but when you cut it, watch out, it turns into a canoe.
Thanks for any insight.

Columbia and RockShield here but its Maple. No issue with staying flat before or after its cut. I buy 1/2" PF1 side and 3/4" in both PF1 and 2 and no problems with any of it.

I'm pretty sure you got china birch. we gave it the old college try here. Made a lot of parts that were canoe and potato chip looking. they use a poplar core and the outer veneer peeled off too. Also wouldn't hold a screw. other than that it was perfect. at 19.00 a sheet cheaper i was really hoping it would work. We are in a dry climate [tucson]. I hear the guys in the southeast use it with acceptable results.

I had wondered about the import ply myself. We did the same thing as Cris a while back when a salesman came in with a smokin' number and let us take less than a full unit at unit pricing to try it. Several sheets right out of the pack were so bad we couldnt even pull them down on the CNC so they had to get cut up for decks and backs on the saw. Was very glad we didnt buy full unit(s).
