Weeke BHK 055 - Dowel hole issue1/8
We have a 2 year old BHX 055 with a tool changer. Nice Machine.
We have one issue that just came up. Now it might have been there all along but we now need to resolve it.
When we drill our back upper left panel hole, so the hole facing the right side of the machine, the top hole is about 1/16" to the outside of the panel. So when you build a 12" deep wall cabinet the back top and bottom on opposite sides are sticking above the panel buy just enough that we are not happy.
We have had no luck with Stiles so far.
If you are drilling horizontally with this machine you are out in the "Z" in relation to the table -
"So when you build a 12" deep wall cabinet the back top and bottom on opposite sides are sticking above the panel by just enough that we are not happy."
The opposite sides is telling me the drilling in the Horiz drills might be the problems. Take a caliper and check the relation of the thickness of the what is leftover for edge of hole to edge of panel. The machine maybe out just a bit. So it might be drilling 8.90 on one side and 9.10 on the other.
Should be able to change this in the horizontal spindle table. Each spindle has two pistons generally, so, it may take an hour or two via trial and error, but should be able to dial in
Also- you may want to tell the machine the material thickness is 19mm and drill off of the bottom exactly 9mm and not Z/2
I hope this helps.
If it's definitely the drilling on the face, are the panels coming in square off the saw ?
