I had several people ask about how I Set up my vacuum pump’s remotely. It was also mentioned in another post about noise of vacuum pumps in shop. Here’s a video of how I set up my pumps for outside operations

Is there a loss of suction with the distance? From my Understanding, the pump needs to be close as possible to the table.

We set ours up remotely back in 2003. The pump is located in the compressor room. That keeps the noise out of the shop, and dust and debris away from the pump. She still runs everyday without issues. Last year me moved it into another remote location to make room for the pump on a new machine. Both of them are 40h.p. Travaini's

There will for sure be friction loss, but maybe your vacuum pumps are big enough that it won’t be an issue.
If it was me I would put the cnc right next to the wall so the hose is still short, but pump is isolated in a separate room.

Great post! Similar to the setup we did on our machine. Just used 3" steel pipe and only flexible hose on the last short connection.
