2K urethane high gloss process3/9
I have a project coming up that is high gloss white. Usually customers bail on gloss when I tell them the cost, so Iíve only done smaller projects with production lacquer.
Iíve made samples and have found a process (materials from Sherwin Williams) that provides good results, but thought I would post to get any feedback or tips.
Here is my process:
Iím unsure how much I need to level the 2K sealer . Just denib, or full sanding? Any tips?
i would skip the vinyl and use a white urethane sealer.
we do tons of high gloss paneling. some times its stain and sometimes its solid color.
If we are doing solid colors, we follow this schedule:
Again, this yields great results.
Spot on kevin..... we are running pretty much the same sequence and coatings and also have a very fine 52" Heeseman
I've done both..... off the gun as well as wet sand with abrasive progression up to buff. Even in a dust free environment there's a huge difference in appearance with the end result.
